How It Works — 100% In Your Browser
This tool uses MediaPipe's image segmentation AI that runs entirely in your browser. The model downloads once (about 20MB), then is cached for future use. All processing happens on your device using WebGPU or WebAssembly. Your images never leave your computer — there are no uploads to any server.
After segmentation, the tool creates a precise mask of your subject and composites it over your chosen background. The edge smoothing option uses Gaussian blur to blend the edges naturally, preventing harsh cutouts.
